1955 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
MS. NORMA AVILUCEA TORRES, died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in Las Cruces on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Norma was born on December 6, 1955 in Garfield to Jacob "Jake" Avilucea and Margarita "Maggie" Bustamante. Even through her most difficult times, she made sure that her high heels were on and her make up was done before she walked out the door. Norma's laugh and smile would always bring joy to those she encountered in her life.
Norma is survived by her father, Jacob "Jake" Avilucea (Teresa); daughter, Peggy Torres (Jeffery); granddaughter, the light of her life and her best friend, Brooke Trujillo; sister, Mona Nañez (Tomas); brothers, Andrew Avilucea (Bernadette); Augie Avilucea (Suzie) and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved so dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margarita "Maggie" Bustamante.
At Norma's request cremation has taken place and Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church, 5525 Cristo Rey in Doña Ana, where the Memorial Mass will follow immediately thereafter with the Reverend Juan Camilo Montoya, Celebrant.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Norma's life.
