Jesus S. Vasquez, 63, of Las Cruces entered eternal life Thursday, April 10, 2014 at La Posada – Mesilla Valley Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 19, 1950 in San Pablo to Juvencio and Juliana Samario Vasquez. Jesus was employed in the automotive body repair and paint industry; worked for Security Concepts for ten years and was a member of the Catholic Church. Those left to mourn his passing include a daughter, Brandy Vasquez of Las Cruces; two brothers, Angel Vasquez, Abraham Vasquez and wife Gloria; two sisters, Catalina Ortega and Amelia Vasquez; his former wife and dear friend, Sandra Fernandez; two sisters-in-law, Connie Vasquez, Lillian Vasquez all of Las Cruces. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Alexis, A.J. and Alexavier Mejias, and Jozlynn Gonzales. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Tomas, Felix Sr. and Humberto Vasquez; a sister, Helen Vasquez-Goodwin and a godson, Joel F. Fernandez. Jesus will be reposing Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 5 PM to 7 PM in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 at 1 PM with Reverend Don Adamski officiating. The Rite of Committal and Inurnment will follow in San Albino Cemetery. Serving as honorary bearers will be Alexavier and A.J. Mejias, Eddie Ortiz, Brian, Abraham, Duane, Angel and Victor Vasquez, Eddie Ramirez, Mike Guzman, Frankie Villalpando, Larry Monje, and Rudy Colorbio.
