Richard Hynson Obituary
Richard Walter Gerald Hynson (also known as Dick, Gerry, Butch) born December 21, 1941 in Rock Hall, Maryland went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the age of 75. His death was sudden and unexpected. He left his adoring wife Rae Elise Hynson, to whom he was happily married for almost 29 years. He was the son of the late Lee Hynson and Minnie Dierker Hynson, sister of the late Olivia (Libby) Hynson. He is survived by a brother, Billy Hynson, three sons, Ricky Hynson, Scott Towler, and Matthew Wilburn, and a daughter, Delilah (Sam) Hymas. Blessed with a large loving family he is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Dick had a brilliant mind and a kind heart. His vast thirst for knowledge made him an avid reader and led him to travel the world (Mexico, Guam, Argentina, Italy, and Africa to name a few). He soaked up information like no one we've ever known. His unique abilities combined with his love for his work made him extremely successful in his career where he was able to continue to make significant contributions until the day he died. He was a Vietnam Vet, Paratrooper, Green Beret, scholar, teacher, patriot, decorated Veteran, American Bad Ass, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Dick had an amazing love for his wife Rae and so enjoyed Carnival cruising to amazing places with her. They were a captivating couple who loved to dance, sing karaoke, make new friends, and enjoy their time together. Dick had a zest for adventure and loved whitewater rafting, hover-boarding, zip-lining, jumping from aircraft, and many other such sports.

He was a man of great faith and an inspiration to all to live life to the fullest. He will live in our hearts forever.

Services will be on Friday, January 27th at 1:30pm at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 6065 Rock Hall Road, Rock Hall, Maryland.
