Samuel Quintana Obituary
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, father, uncle, and friend, Samuel Madrid Quintana, 66, of Las Cruces and formerly of Vado, NM passed on April 22, 2011, he was born to Jesus Quintana and Guadalupe Madrid Quintana on October 10, 1944 in El Paso, TX, he is survived by his children, Ernie, Cindy, and Rudy Quintana and sisters Ester Matheson (Bob) of Boulder, CO, Abby Quintana of Las Cruces, and Sara Sanchez (Antonio) of El Paso, TX. Carlos Madrid (Josie) Uncle of Vado, NM and Half-Brother Hector Sanchez. Samuel served honorably in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant and was a Vietnam Veteran during the Korean Conflict. A vigil will be held for him at 10:00 am in the Saint Alberts Newman Center with Military Honors, located at 2615 S. Solano Dr., L.C., N.M. at 9:30 am prior to the vigil a rosary recital will be read by a family member for those who would like to attend. Reception for family and friends immediately following vigil at the De Colores Hall located at the Newman Center.
