Sierra Nicole Knox "Chic" was born on July 13th 1998 . With a large and caring heart, Chic never met a stranger. She could walk into a room and illuminate the atmosphere with her sweet spirit. She had an infectious giggle that was unique to her, kind and caring eyes with a contagious smile. She was tragically taken from us way too soon. Although she was young, she touched so many lives and there will forever be an emptiness in our hearts.
Chic had a close and special bond with her mom, her best friend. Nearly inseparable, they did everything together. There were very few times you would see one without the other. She was truly her mom's "mini me". She was also close with her Dad, she loved cheering him on at every team roping. She carried the proud role as his side kick for many years; from fishing to hunting to hauling horses from County to County to all the jackpots, she wanted to be involved in it ALL. With all the love and support she showed her father, he returned the favor and took his turn hauling her around to local rodeos to compete in barrel racing. Chic often spent time hanging out with her older sister; 4 wheeling in the desert and shooting rabbits and coyotes. One of the things that would bring the biggest smile to her face was how proud she was of her older brothers and enjoyed cheering them on at the dirt track races, or sitting huddled around the computer with Papa Pete and Nana Sharon to watch the live stream of that week's "big race". She was very close with her Grandma Trudy, fondly known as "GT" and her Grandpa Ed. She loved spending time with them every chance she got. It did not matter if it was at their home in Taos or a quick trip to meet for some shopping in Albuquerque. GT and Chic shared a love of makeup, it was a language they both spoke. Some of Chic's fondest memories were the times she spent in Taos with her family on The Ranch. Family was a huge part of her life. Every hobby and passion she loved doing involved them. She was such a kind loving soul. Having a huge love for all animals, she rescued any stray cat or dog she came across. Her tenderness and compassion were one of a kind. Heaven truly gained an angel and our World will never be the same. We find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her Uncle Marty and her precious nephew Rowyn.
