Cheryl S. Ambler

Cheryl S. Ambler LEBANON Cheryl S. Ambler entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, from natural causes. She was the wife of Thomas R. Ambler of Lebanon. Born in Lebanon, on August 28, 1950, she was the daughter of Marilyn Reinoehl Hummel of Lebanon and the late Richard J. Hummel. She retired after 22 years of service for the H.B. Reese Candy Company, Hershey. She was a 1968 graduate of Cedar Crest High School, and a member of Zion United Methodist Church of Iona, where she was an active member of the choir. Cheryl was loved by everyone who knew her and her family was the absolute light of her life. She enjoyed annual summer vacations to Ocean City, Md., and hosting her famous Labor Day corn/clam bake and Christmas Eve parties. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three children, Janelle Fulk, companion of Victor Corcino of Mt. Gretna, Jason, husband of Jennifer Ambler of Carlisle, and Laura Ambler, fiancee of Alan Jaques of Scotland, Pa.; five grandchildren, Brandon and Bradley Fulk, Logan and Lucas Jaques, and Clarissa Ambler; one sister, Marilyn Zuza of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Thomas Hummel of Orlando, Fla.; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard G. Hummel, Garrick R. Hummel, and David Hummel. Funeral services Monday at 2 p.m. at Zion United Methodist Church of Iona, 1920 S. 5th Ave., Lebanon, with interment in the adjoining church cemetery to follow the ceremony. Viewing hours from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church of Iona, 1920 S. 5th Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
