I will miss Bruce very much. He was such a great friend, confidant and teacher of life. We spent hours talking, mostly on the phone and some in person. I developed an enormous amount of respect for him during this time. His integrity was impeccable. In all of the sports he officiated, he like everyone, didn't get all the calls right, but I guarantee every one he ever made was made honestly the way he saw it. So long friend, we'll certainly miss you.

I know I wasn't his best history student, but I did learn some important lessons from Bruce Kilmoyer as my softball coach: you can't control the kind of pitch you get so be ready for the good one; sometimes it's better to sacrifice yourself to advance others; there is no substitute for practice, teamwork, and focus; and if you've gotta bunt, lay it on the line and run fast!

He loved statistics and could recall specifics about events of one game or one play in great detail, even if it happened more than a decade ago.

He had a positive impact in my life. For that I am grateful. I am saddened by his passing.

My condolences to Bruce's family. I only knew Bruce through umpiring for the last 10 years, but he was the kind of person who, every time you spoke with him, he made it seem as though he would rather talk to you than do anything else. He had a knack for making other people feel important. I never had a conversation with Bruce that wasn't pleasant. I will forever remember Bruce fondly. What a great person.

So sad to see this, I was a student of Mr. Kilmoyer. Beyond the day to day teachings he shared with his classroom, he also showed us all how to have social responsibility, integrity and respect. I send my deepest sympathy to his family and warm thoughts to them during this hard time. Mr. Kilmoyer was the kind of person who leaves behind a legacy and I hope you all feel that in the days moving ahead. Prayers are with you.

Mr. Kilmoyer was my teacher for a couple years. What an amazing man. My most favorite memories were the Salvation Army volunteering with him and also ringing the bell for Christmas. Oh and can't forget the Shueys pretzels. Not only did he teach me about history but he also taught me about giving to others. I have been out of school since 2005 and many times over the years I have often thought of him and how he was, hoping to see him around somewhere. Mr. Kilmoyer, thank you and may you be at peace. God bless.
