Paulette A. Fortna LEBANON Paulette A. "Pid" Fortna, 67, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at her residence. She was the wife of Robert D. Fortna. Born in Lebanon on September 23, 1946, Paulette was a daughter of the late Sylvester S., Jr. and Martha J. (Spesak) Kudela. She was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School, where all three of her sons attended as well. She worked in the dental and medical field all of her life and recently retired from the M.S. Hershey Medical Center after 20 years of service. She was an avid reader, quilter and enjoyed traveling. She was an active member of St. Benedict's Church, the Lebanon Senior Center, the YMCA and Quilting Club. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and she never missed one of their games. We all heard her cheering from the stands, courts and fields, and now she cheers from above watching over us. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by three sons, Steven M., husband of Maggie Fortna, Jeffrey D., husband of Shawn Fortna, Christopher R., husband of Catherine Fortna. She was also the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, Lindsey, Lauren, Nick, Stevie, Sam, Weston, Madison, Riley and Makenzie Fortna and two great-grandchildren, Ella and Jordan. She is also survived by one sister, Karen Kudela Zentz, wife of Tom; three nieces, Jenny Martin, Megan Schickling and Amy Tancraitor; and one nephew, Andrew Martin. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Kudela Martin, wife of the late David Martin. Funeral Mass Monday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict The Abbot Church, 1300 Lehman St., Lebanon 17046. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Viewing hours Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon 17042, and Monday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
