September 16, 1927 – August 4, 2015
On Tuesday, August 4, 2015, lovingly surrounded by his family, Robert 'Bob' Barry made his transition and joined many angels and predeceased friends and family for a heavenly polka party. Bob was a self- driven master mechanic, woodworker and truck driver. His artistry will live on in the beautiful pieces of woodwork adorning the homes of many friends and family. He will also be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humour and 'Bobisms'. As a dad he was a solid loving presence and our hero. He was a man of few words and those words, when spoken, were filled with wisdom or humour. Left to carry on his legacy are: Clarice (nee Brandsgard) his loving wife of 63 years; Taylor, his loyal Corgi and faithful companion; daughters Shelby (Frank Duckworth), Rhonda, Pamela (Dale Duguid), Synde, Wendi (Colin Wiest), and Sandi (Tim Ramsdell); son Warren (Denise); 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren with a 17th on the way; his brother Bert (Doreen); sisters-in- law Margaret Barry and Lillian Holmes; and numerous nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the nurses of 3E at the General Hospital, RT technicians and Dr. Moinuddin for their compassionate and loving care of our father and our family. A special thank you to Diane Kotylak for helping make dad's last moments on earth as comfortable as possible. A CELEBRATION OF BOB'S LIFE is being planned for family and friends to coincide with his 88th birthday. In lieu of flowers, dad would have been pleased to have donations made in his honour to the Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7.
