In loving memory of Father Van, a priest with great love and integrity. He impacted me when I was a young girl growing up in a small town. He made the youth of the parish welcome, reminding us that we too had something to offer our parish and to serve with love. We continued to stay in touch over the many years, he encouraged me through my decision to attend Newman Theological College and kept me on track querying about my papers and assignments. He was always interested and had something to teach me. I will miss his annual phone call on my Saint's day in August... but it is without a doubt, I will be thinking of him and thanking God for blessing me with Father Van's influence and love. I sincerely express sympathy to Father Van's family -

Fr. Art ~ I will never forget all the times we spent together, when I was young. You baptized myself, my brother and sisters, taught me how to water ski (that was fun) plus much more. I know that I had not seen you in many years, but you were always in my thoughts. I will miss your smile, your jokes and laughter. Rest in peace. ❤
