Isobelle Schlapkohl

SCHLAPKOHL - Isobelle passed away on Monday, May 12, 2008, at the age of 87. Isobelle was born December 20, 1920 to Joseph and Rose Wanner. Isobelle was predeceased by her parents, her husband Alfred, daughters Marlene Reynolds and Janet Dzuba, granddaughter Sherry Russel, son in law Edson Reynolds, 7 brothers and 5 sisters. She leaves to mourn three daughters, Lorraine (Harvey) Haberstock, Jolene (Stan) Wicks, Sandra (Norm) Graham, and son in law Lee Dzuba. Twelve Grandchildren, Janie (Barry) Budzinksi, Donald (Petra) Haberstock, Rodney (Maureen) Haberstock, Keith (Cheri) Haberstock, Bonnie (Rick) Vanderveen, Lori (Jeff) Carr, Lynda (Neil) Chamney, Todd Graham, Jade Graham, Jason Dzuba, Joey (Victoria) Dzuba, Jerod (Lynn) Dzuba. And twenty-two great grand children. Three sisters Pat Klize, Margaret (Ernie) Haverstock, Frances Simonson. Brother in law Len Wock. And numerous inlaws, nieces and nephews. Isobelle worked on the family farm along side her husband until they moved to Estevan. She was a very social person no one entered her home without a meal or piece of cake, coffee was always on. She enjoyed a good game of cards. She also enjoyed celebrating birthdays and anniversaries of neighbors, friends and family. Isobelle did a lot of babysitting, her home was always open to many children over the years from neighbors, to friends to grandchildren. Her memory of nursery rhymes entertained her grandchildren right to the end. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008 from St. Peters Lutheran Church, Estevan with Pastor Jason Schultz officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Glen Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Orsted Funeral Home, Estevan.
