Lynne BRANDSGARD Obituary
(1947 – 2015)
"The Sunshine of Our Hearts"
It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of Lynne Brandsgard on Thursday, January 8, 2015. Lynne brought love and light to all who knew her. She had a beautiful, unwavering heart that touched everyone around her. After a career with the federal government, she went on to pursue her true passion: a career in health and healing. She helped countless people and restored hope in many. She would spend many hours helping her friends and families and those in need, always putting herself last. Lynne had a love of learning and was always trying to further her education by taking courses. She treasured her family, friends, and had a love of animals. She adored her grandchildren and the true love of her life, our dad Art, who cared for her for the past eighteen months, teaching us the true meaning of love. Lynne was predeceased by her father Tom Whitney and mother Luella Whitney. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Art Brandsgard; daughter Brenda Brandsgard and grandchildren Tristan, Brady and Cassidy Matusko; and daughter Jane (Orval) Schoenthal and grandchildren McKenzie, Dakota and Raine Schoenthal. We would like to extend a huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the team of staff from Home Care and Palliative Care for their amazing care and kindness throughout this journey. We could not have done this without you; you all went above and beyond to help care for mom and us. We are eternally grateful. At Lynne's request, no service will be held. Her family will gather at a later date to celebrate her life together. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Lynne's memory may be made to the Regina Humane Society, P.O. Dear Art, Brenda, Jane and Family.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Lynne was a wonderful person who touched many lives. She spoke of her family with love and pride. She loved, healed and cared for family, friends and strangers. Lynne had overcome so many health challenges in the past that I hoped and prayed she would overcome this one too. If anyone could do it, Lynne could! I always knew Lynne was our Angel - I guess she has now earned her wings!

Such a special person, too young to have suffered the way Lynne did. She will be missed by so many, her family and friends,and all the people she was able to help.Lynne was one of the kindest, gentlest women I ever knew. She was an "Earth" angel and now she will be our "Angel" in Heaven.
