Brad and Marilyn, we met today in Houston, TX. I spotted your Humboldt Broncos jacket, and asked about it, because even here in Texas, we mourned with yall then, and again today. What you shared about your son Mark, was special. While time passes, your love for him doesnt. From the tragedy, a community banded together to share their prayers, tears, and support. I know I left sticks out, and my porch lights on for Mark and the others 18 months ago, as did many here in the Texas hockey community. As I was reminded of the tragedy again today, I hugged my three kids a little tighter tonight, and Ill say an extra prayer on yalls behalf. I have also felt the sting of losing a loved one, but I assure you, while they are not here physically, they are still very much alive, busily engaged in preparation for they day and honor it will be to receive you back home with God one day. I felt touched and strengthened by the spirit of the Lord today, and my prayer on your behalf is that you feel the arms of God around you and your family tonight, and know that God is aware, He loves you, and He does not cause the pain felt from tragedys, but He understands it, and will bear you up and take your grief. God bless, you, and God bless Mark and the others.
