Joseph Seiferling

SEIFERLING JOSEPH HERMAN, CHEFFEY_ late of Sedley, SK. passed away peacefully at Regina General Hospital on Thursday, November 3rd, 2005 at the age of 79 years. Cheffey was predeceased by his loving wife Eloise, his brothers, Father Fred, Andrew, Michael, Peter and Edward and his sisters, Clara and Caroline. Cheffey is survived by his loving family, his children, Jeff (Sheri) Seiferling and grandson Joel of Warman, SK, Dale Seiferling of Regina, SK and Sarah (Jeff) Warmerdam of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by his brothers, Father Michael of Lumsden, SK, Father Canisius of Cochrane, AB, his sisters, Mary Wade of Regina, SK, Felicia Klein of Sedley, SK, Pauline McInnis of Saskatoon, SK, Sister Herman and Sister Louisa of Toronto, ON and Ann (Bill) Mallendine of Arizona. Cheffey was born, raised and spent the majority of his life in the Sedley area. He was active in the community as a Credit Union board Member, Knight of Columbus and a minor hockey coach. He enjoyed playing and watching curling and even after he was no longer able to attend the games, he always remained a very avid Roughrider fan. Cheffey cherished his family, loved to farm and will always be remembered for his smile and infectious sense of humour. An invitation is extended by the family to participate in the Mass Service to be held on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Sedley, SK with Fr. Louis Abello, presiding. Interment will follow. The family would like to invite everyone to a luncheon afterward at the Sedley Gym Hall to celebrate their Dad's life, and would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff and Dad's extended family at Queen Victoria Estates for their love and care and for making his last three years an enjoyable time.
