Elizabeth A. Carter, 28, of El Paso, Texas, formerly of Vandalia, passed away on Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, in El Paso.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Terry Westerfield officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the church. Memorials: Fayette County Health Department. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Elizabeth was born on Tuesday, March 20, 2019, in Springfield, the daughter of Torney R. Carter and Terese A. (Beutenmiller) Sikma.
Elizabeth was a U.S. Army veteran.
She is survived by her father, Torney R. Carter and Patty of Vandalia; mother, Terese A. (Beutenmiller) Sikma and Byron of Vandalia; and several brothers and sisters.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ernie and Opal Carter; and maternal grandparents, Ernest and Joyce Beutenmiller.
