Jacqueline ""Jackie"" Lankow, 87, of Vandalia, died at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at home, surrounded by her family.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Jerry Bagwell officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church. Memorials: Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Fayette County Cancer Fund. Mrs. Lankow was born on May 27, 1930, in Vandalia, the daughter of William and Ina (Edwards) Savage. She married Norman Lankow in January 1982.
Jackie worked at several factories in Vandalia throughout the years. She continued working to keep busy, and was employed by Wendy's and Walmart, and after retiring, she volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity Resale Shop in downtown Vandalia. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Vickey Culpepper and her husband Mike of Burleson, Texas; son, David Greer and his wife Melody of Hallsville, Texas; stepson, Aaron Lankow and his wife Melanie of Casper, Wyo.; grandchildren, Andrea and her husband Chris Wittry, Shai and her husband Byron Mitchamore, Emily Lankow and her husband Kiefer Stone, and Matthew Lankow; and great-grandchildren, Andrew Wittry and his wife Hope, Austin Wittry, Christopher Wittry and Zachary Mitchamore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
