Janet Gail Thompson, 71, of Farina, passed away at 5:10 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Services were held at noon on Friday at Pagel Funeral Home in St. Peter, with Cathy Mellendorf officiating. Burial was in Elder Cemetery in rural Kinmundy. Janet was born on Nov. 29, 1944, in Ft. Branch, Ind., the daughter of Arnold and Katherine (Jones) Wilkerson.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in St. Peter. She owned and operated JT's Pool Supply in Vandalia and eventually sold her business, in 2005, to Pisces Pools and Spas, where she continued to work and manage the Vandalia store until health issues forced her to retired in 2010. She loved antiques, working around her house and in the yard, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, JR Wolfe of Farina; daughters, Penny Donaldson of St. Peter and Kim Lane of Kinmundy; brothers, Larry Wilkerson of Virginia Beach, Va., Eddy Wilkerson of Brownsburg, Ind., Roger Wilkerson of Princeton, Ind., and Ricky Wilkerson of Princeton, Ind.; sisters, Linda Haubold of Princeton, Ind., Joyce Miller of Princeton, Ind., Barbara Metric of Princeton, Ind., and Marsha Pinkston of Winslow, Ind.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Keith Terry; brothers, James Thull Wilkerson (in infancy) and Ronald Lee Wilkerson; a grandson, Nolan Kraemer; and a granddaughter, Sarah Gail Kulesza.
