Linda Marie Francisco, 54, of Vandalia, formerly of Champaign, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at First Christian Church in Vandalia. A private family interment will be in Champaign. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the church. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at
Linda was born on Nov. 26, 1962, in Champaign, the daughter of the Rev. Robert and Euna Francisco.
She attended schools in Odgen and St. Joseph, and graduated from St. Colletta's School in Wisconsin. After graduation, she worked at the Developmental Service Center in Champaign before coming to Vandalia to work at FAYCO Developmental Center. She was baptized a Christian as a child and lived her life as a Christian. She enjoyed reading her Bible, listening to her Christian music, CD's and watching religious programs on her TV.
She is survived by her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Robert L. Francisco, pastor of First Christian Church in Vandalia; sister, Rebecca Hatter of Mattoon; brothers, Robert Francisco of Crete, Michael Francisco and his wife Kris of Royal, and Charles Francisco and his wife Trinity of Killeen, Texas; uncles, Charles J. Francisco of Richmond, Va., Robert J. Trent and his wife Jeane of Paradice, Texas, and David Trent and his wife Donna of Rogersville, Tenn.; aunts, Beuna O'Connor of Urbana, Martha Francisco of Urbana, Phyllis and her husband Derryl Myers of Morristown, Tenn., and Beatrise Wallace of Queensland, Australia; five nieces; five nephews; three grand-nephews; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; nephew, William Michael Hatter; aunt, Norma Campbell; and uncle, William Leroy Francisco.
