Marjorie Ellen "Margie" McIntyre-Thompson, 89, of Greenville, formerly of Brownstown and Ramsey, Ill., and Wilcox, Ariz., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at Helia Health Care in Greenville.
Services will be held at noon on Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Jerry Bagwell officiating. Burial will be in Griffith Cemetery in rural Brownstown. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church. Memorials: The family or donor's choice. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Margie was born on Oct. 25, 1928, in Marion County, the daughter of Marvin Henry and Martha E. (McDonald) Winegarner. She married Robert J. McIntyre in 1949; he passed away on Feb. 21, 1992. She later married Walter Thompson.
She was a retired accountant, co-owner of Circle M Accounting. She was a member of Northside Christian Church in Vandalia, the Illinois Chapter and National Society of Public Accounting, several Tennessee and Racking Horse Clubs throughout the area and Culbertson Dance Club.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Thompson of Vandalia; daughters Betty Roe and Roger of Brownstown, Jessie Maske and Hubert "Bert" of Ramsey, and Bobbie Lippse and Sam of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters, Grace Elwell of Wilmington and Leona Siedel of Los Alamos, N.M.; grandchildren, Jason and Mindy Roe, Tyler and Ashley Roe, Katelyn and Clark Satterlee, Braden Roe and fiancée Paula Greer, and Jarod Maske; great-grandchildren, Gabe, Olivia, Sawyer, Abram, Asaiah, Andrew, Carly and Ava; special daughter and son, Millie and Bob Schroeder of Shobonier; special stepdaughter, Mickey Gebhart of Vandalia; and lifelong friend, Betty Donaldson of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; a brother, Ralph Winegarner; and a sister, Vera Stumborg.
