Obituary

May Belle Pilger Steward Jenkins, 93, of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of Ramsey, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at McClay Senior Care in St. Peters, Mo.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at First Baptist Church of Ramsey, with the Revs. Edmund Hill and Jeff Shouse officiating. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery in Ramsey. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church. Memorials: First Baptist Church of Ramsey. Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Jenkins was born on Jan. 27, 1926, in Bayle City, the daughter of Francis Ray and Thelma Etta (Brown) Nave. She married Fred Albert Pilger on Aug. 10, 1946; he passed away on Oct. 20, 1975. She married Howard E. Steward on June 16, 1979; he passed away on Oct. 20, 1998. She married James R. "Jim" Jenkins on May 15, 2002; he passed away on Sept. 3, 2009.
She was a homemaker and a retired administrative clerk at St. Louis Community College. May Belle was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Bonne Terre, Mo.; Bonne Terre Garden Club; and Bonne Terre Country Club.
She is survived by her son, Steve Pilger and Marie of St. Charles, Mo.; nine stepchildren; grandchildren, Zach, Josh, Eric, Maggie and Annette; six great-grandchildren; many stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren; brother, Lee Nave and Carol of Hazelwood, Mo.; and sisters, Arlene Hoffman and Wendell of Vandalia, and Nancy Paradee of Ramsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a son, Gary Pilger; brothers, Eugene and Joe Nave; and a sister-in-law, Vivian Nave.
