Lillian Brown, 97, Lebanon, passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Cedars of Lebanon.
She was born to the late Grant and Luvinia Scott in Green County on March 25, 1920. She was a member of The Church in Jesus' Name Apostolic Church in Columbia, where her son, Bishop Richard A. Brown is pastor.
She was preceded in death by: her first husband, John Allen Groves; second husband, Thomas D. Brown; son, Boyce Groves; four brothers; two sisters; grandchild, Rita Marie Lynn Brown; and great-grandchildren, Evetta Wright and Destiny Groves.
Survivors include: sons, William Thomas Brown (Agnes) of Miami, Florida and Bishop Richard A. Brown (Betty) of Bowling Green; daughters, Mary Frances Thompson (Alex) of Springfield, Bertha Lee Burrell (Dennis) of Muncie, Indiana, Dianne Boyd and Brenda Duncan, both of Bowling Green, Eva Thomas, Barbara Porter, and Tevis Brown, all of Lebanon, and Martina Vargas (Luis) of Miami, Florida; 43 grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; three great-great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Lebanon United Methodist Church with burial in St. Augustine Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Josh Downs, Mathew Downs, Myrone Thompson, Anthony Thompson, Steve Thompson, and Elder Boyce Groves.
Honorary pallbearers were Danny Thompson, Timmy Thompson, Donald Thompson, and Timmy Groves.
Campbell-Fisher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
