Lula Mae Adams, 77, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018 at her residence.
She was born on Oct. 31, 1941 in Lebanon. Adams was a teacher for over 35 years and taught at St. Augustine and Lebanon Elementary.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Bill Adams Sr.; parents, Clarence E. and Annie Belle Kelly Hardesty; three sisters, Nancy Myers, Mary Hardesty Brady, and Chris Leake; and brother, Ed Hardesty.
Survivors include: daughter, Kathy Adams Cocchi (Robert) of Loganville, Georgia; son, Bill Adams Jr. (Beth) of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Josette Taylor of Montclair, New Jersey, Naz Taylor of Springfield, Mirelle Taylor of Lexington, Lynesse Taylor of Loganville, Georgia, and Camden Adams and Avery Adams, both of Lebanon; four sisters, Dot Brady, Katie Mills, Lillian Fenwick, and Betty Smith, all of Louisville; and sister-in-law, Betty Benningfield of Lebanon.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with interment in St. Augustine Church Cemetery. Deacon Joseph Dant and Father Trumie Culpepper Elliott officiated.
Active pallbearers were Troy Benningfield, Tony Hamilton, Naz Taylor, Jim Fenwick, Joey Myers, and Bernard Smalley.
Honorary pallbearers were Camden Adams and Avery Adams.
Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
