Phyllis Ann Mattingly, 69, Bardstown, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 at her residence.
She was born on Sept. 30, 1949 in Raywick to the late Marlon and Grace Price Craven. Phyllis worked 42 years at Jim Beam Brands in Clermont and for the U.F.C.W. local 111D for 20 plus years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Watterson College in 1993 with a diploma in medical assistance, and she was of the Catholic faith.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by: a sister, Carolyn Raye Riggs Simpson; and a brother, Joseph Edward Craven Sr.
Survivors include: her daughter, Lisa (Jerry) Mattingly-Zehnder of Jeffersontown; three sons, Mike Mattingly (Kasey) of Mt. Washington, Brian Mattingly of Bardstown, and Tracey Mattingly (Susan) of Clermont, Florida; a brother, Frank (Charlenia) Craven of Bardstown; six grandchildren, Trenton Zehnder, Ryan Zehnder, Zachary Zehnder, Dawson Mattingly, Noah Mattingly, and Nevin Mattingly; and several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, with Deacon Sam Filiatreau at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, Bardstown. Visitation will be Monday at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home from 3-7 p.m. Cremation is chosen.
In lieu of flowers family request that contributions be made to the Breast Cancer Research, P.O. Box 98060, Washington, DC 20090-8060 or the American Optometric Association (specifically for retinitis pigmentosa research).
