Tevis Loretta Brown, 61, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 in Bowling Green.
She was born on March 8, 1957 in Lebanon. Brown was retired, having worked in the healthcare field. She was a member of The Church in Jesus' Name Apostolic Church in Columbia, pastored by her brother, Bishop Richard Brown.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Thomas Durham Brown and Rita May Porter Brown; stepmother, Lillian Groves Brown; and stepbrother, Boyce Groves.
Survivors include: two brothers, William Thomas Brown (Agnes) of Miami, Florida and Richard Allen Brown (Betty) of Bowling Green; five sisters, Diane Boyd and Brenda Duncan, both of Bowling Green, Eva Thomas of Campbellsville, Barbara Porter of Lebanon, and Martina Vargas (Louis) of Miami, Florida; two step-sisters, Mary Frances Thompson (Alex) of Springfield and Bertha Lee Burrell (Dennis) of Muncie, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews, as well as several extended family members and beloved friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with interment in St. Augustine Church Cemetery. Bishop Richard Brown officiated.
Pallbearers were Anthony Parrott, Boyce Groves, Obie Fugate, Lawrence White, Jeff Harrington, Harland Jewell, William Buckner, and William K. Smith.
Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
