Gloria A. Lodge, age 62 of Peterborough, passed away peacefully at Catholic Medical Center, after a brief illness, on April 3, 2021. She was born in North Andover, MA on January 22, 1959, the daughter of Warren and Doris (Wilson) Lodge.

Gloria moved with her family to Peterborough from North Andover, MA while still in grade school. She graduated from ConVal High School, then attended UNH and Antioch College where she received a Master's Degree.

Gloria spent 23 years of her career at Keene State College where she was director of Human Resources before eventually taking on a role as academic and career advisor, which was her favorite work. She very much enjoyed advising and guiding students through the college experience and onto future careers and considered that her life's work.

Gloria participated in Lions Club and was well known in the community. She was a past president of the Peterborough Chamber of Commerce. She stayed active with her sorority women's group and had many friends. She also enjoyed crafting and had great affection for her dogs.

Most of all, Gloria was known for her kind heart and positive spirit.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 38 years, Nils Bruce Wenblad of Peterborough.

To the family of Gloria A. Lodge:
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we learned of Gloria's passing. She served as advisor to our sorority in Keene and was a great support to some of our sisters who were lucky enough to have had her as their academic advisor. She will live on in our hearts as a kind, helpful, wise, and enduring soul. In her memory, and for her love of animals, we have made a contribution to the NHSPCA. May you find peace in this difficult time.
Very truly yours,
The Sisters of Tau Phi Xi Sorority

I am so saddened to hear the news of Gloria's passing. Over the 3 years I served as an orientation staff member and ACA peer advisor at Keene State (Deena Snoke, '13) Gloria helped me learn who I was and set me on the correct path for my future. The first time we met, she told me how impressed she was by my handshake- I will never forget it! I spent countless hours learning about advising and career building, and I can say with certainty that I would not be where I am now without her guidance. I know that I am not alone in saying that Gloria will be deeply missed by many of my peers who were orientation staff members and peer advisors. Sending my deepest condolences and many hugs to Gloria's family and friends.

To Gloria’s family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Gloria was such a sweet women and I enjoyed talking to her when I knew her. I loved all the dog pictures and ornament decorations she had in her office.
She was my advisor my Freshman year at Keene State when I was an undeclared major at that time. She was so helpful with helping me with choosing my classes and encouraging me to find my passions to choose my current major.
I was so lucky to have her as my first advisor to get me started at KSC when I had no clue what to do. She was a lovely soul. May she rest peacefully.

In loving memory of a wonderful woman. We will love you and miss you always.
Gloria changed my life, I met her about 6 years ago at KSC. She helped me through everything with school. But when I found out I was pregnant she was there and has always been there for me. She helped me find things for my new apartment. No matter what she was there for my daughter Ava and I. She was the greatest women and was like family to Ava and I. She is going to be truly missed and always loved. I will always remember Ava running down the halls of KSC and wrapping her arms around Gloria’s legs almost knocking her down, but Glorida smiled every time say “Hi Ava I missed you” and they would give each other the biggest hugs ever! After the hugs we would always go back to the office where of course Ava would find Gloria’s candy stash! I will cherish these memories forever. If it wasn’t for Gloria, I wouldn’t be where I am today!
