Thomas Teates
Greenfield, NH — Thomas N. Teates, 72, of Greenfield, passed away on October 31, 2021 after a brief illness. Tom was born on July 18, 1949 in Morristown, NJ to Irving and June (Bailey) Teates.
After graduating from Peterborough High School, Tom enlisted in the United States Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of the military police and trained guard dogs used in protecting the perimeter of various bases.
Tom spent the next 47 years driving as an over-the-road trucker, working for a variety of companies. His travels took him all over the country and into Canada. Retiring in 2017, Tom spent his last few years in Greenfield, NH.
Tom leaves his brother Jim and sister-in-law Wickie Teates; nieces, Lisa Cuddemi and Tracey O'Neill, and their children. Tom was predeceased by his brother Ken Teates.
At Tom's request, there will be no calling hours or service. A burial will be held, with full military honors, at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway Boscawen, NH on Tuesday November 23, 2021 at 2:00PM.
