Mrs Melva M. McKee

Melva M. Brackin McKee, age 91, of Oxford, formerly of Kennett Square, died Sunday June 5, 2011 at the Ware Presbyterian Village. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. McKee who died in 1995 and with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Kennett Square, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Mary Galatha Brackin. Melva was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Church in kennett. She worked for the Kennett Consolidated School district at New Garden Elementary for over 19 years. Survivors include one daughter Mary Jane Schoch of Kennett Square, two sisters, Theresa Hodson of Kennett Square and Mary Wayne of Downingtown, and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Joan M. Caputo, one sister Kathryn Wayne, and five brothers, Anthony, Calvin, James, Eugene, and John Brackin. A funeral service will be held 11AM Friday June 10, 2011 at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. (610-444-4116) 250 W. State St. Kennett Square, PA 19348.
