I was so sorry to hear about Alfred. Carolyn, I know how hard it is to lose a brother...I lost Eddie last year. In fact, even though I didn't see him,I am told that Alfred attended the service. Mother also sends her sympathy to you and your mother.

Alfred and I grew up together. We lived on Wolfe Street and Alfred's home was out my back door across a vacant lot to Marshall Street. His house was my house and my house was his. We went to Mitchell, West Side, and Central together. He was a great childhood friend whom I always enjoyed. He was a good person who enjoyed his friends and family to the fullest. Everyone who was lucky enough to know Alfred will miss him. My condolences to the family.
