Mr. Strong, thank you for your AMAZING Legendary contribution to the Legendary musical and historical legacy of the Motown family. Thank you for your AMAZING contribution to music/entertainment/history/. I would hear my dad playing Money (That´s What I Want). "Your love give me such a thrill - - - - but your love don´t pay my bills, I need money)",...Legendary/classic. The first hit of Motown that would become a very important mark of its Legend, that really helped to bring all races together. A major, major accomplishment in itself. Thank you for being a very instrumental part of the greatest record label that would become the unforgettable unmatched Legendary Motown sound. Thank you for your AMAZING gifts as both singer and songwriter. You are greatly missed. You/your AMAZING legacy lives on in our hearts forever. Rest In Heaven beloved and beautiful angel.

We are truly saddened to hear about the death of Barrett Strong, and we you send our heartfelt condolences. We have certainly lost a talented person. We are thankful he shared his remarkable musical gifts with us, and he will certainly be missed.
I grew up listening to his music, and he did have amazing talent as a singer and songwriter. Many of his compositions and collaborations were in the Billboard Top 20, and several were favorites of mine. There are many, and to name two that are still special in my heart are: “Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me)", and “I Heard It Through the Grapevine.” His top hit “Money (That’s What I Want),” was so easy to sing to, and remember. Thank you, Mr. Strong, for the music. You will not be forgotten. Most certainly, your musical legacy will continue to inspire others.
Please continue to treasure your good memories and may they soothe your saddened hearts. May prayers strengthen you and cherished memories comfort you, and may God soothe your hearts and comfort you always. (23rd Psalm)

My deep condolences to the family and friends of Barret Strong. I recall being 4 years old, attending a picnic at a park in Detroit (maybe Belle Isle ?) with Barrett Strong with his sister, Carolyn with my dad who was at Motown in the early 60's, Richard "Popcorn" Wylie and his wife, my mom,Gloria. I recall Barrett being such a nice man. Dad worked with him on "Money." Motown Men.
