Dearest Lib, Briony, Marg, Dean, Phil, Jude, Pete and family,
David was a wonderful man and I know he will be dearly missed by many. Some of my happiest memories are those spent in the company of David and his family. He was kind, gentle and loving but also wise, adventurous and funny. He had a wonderful perspective and outlook on life, something which I aspire to today. I am sure he is with you all in his own way during this tough time.
You are in my thoughts.
Lots of love, Acacia

Dear Lib, Briony, Dean, Marg, Phil, Jude, Pete and families,
David always gave me wise counsel, following attentive listening. That and his quiet assistance provide a model that I'll aspire to. My sincerest condolences to you on your loss.

I am truly sorry for your loss and my deepest condolences to you and your family. I wish you all love, support and strength during this difficult time. May your path be lit with angels during your darkness moments.

David was a very special person. As he battled an unflagging adversary he stayed positive. I met David last year through a mutual colleague and he was generous with his time and advice. What will stay with me forever is his kindness, his confidence, elegance, generosity, wisdom and positive outlook of life - always a silver lining!. We swapped stories about his challenges, family and his journey as I was grieving as I had lost several friends & family to illness. I took solace and comfort from our chats.

So David, I say farewell to you. I am very grateful that our paths crossed just for a fleeting moment. I thank you for the multiple gifts that I have received. I will miss you. Friends for a reason, friends for a season, friends for a lifetime. There is a bright star in the sky tonight!!. Rest in peace.

Dear Libby & Briony

My heart and love go out to you both at this saddest of times. David was a good man with a kind heart and a true gentleman. Nothing can prepare you for the loss of 'your rock'. Just know that there is so much love and support for you both as time slowly fills the emptiness of your loss.

With love and my deepest sympathy

So sad to hear of David's passing. As a banker David was astute, considered, fair, widely respected and an absolute gentleman.

I would not be where I am today without his mentoring, support and advice.

I will always remember how positive David's attitude was, putting others before himself despite the challenges he was facing.

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the service but I will pause in remembrance at 3.15 on Wednesday.
