Gerald REIMER Obituary

Gerry passed away peacefully on May 8th at 10:41pm at Victoria General Hospital after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer. He was 60 years old. Gerry was born in Manitoba and he lived in many places throughout Canada as he grew up. His passions included cinematography, photography, mechanics, drawing and most importantly his family. He was a multi-talented man who always put others before himself. Gerry is survived and will be remembered by his children: Megan and Liam; his loving parents, Weldon and Virginia and his three brothers Randy (Madena), Don (Kelly) and Brad (Darlene). Also missed by family and many friends.

Gerry was a great guy. I went to high school with him and hung out with him and his brother Donnie after school. He was funny, talented and a loyal friend. Time takes us all away from each other in this life. I am sorry I lost contact with Gerry over the years.
He tried to contact me a few years back on classmates but I never got a membership. Sorry Gerry. I would have loved to chat with you once again my friend. Fly Free Brother. Dana Mennie

Worked with Gerry for many years and I'm in shock to read of his passing. He was too young to leave this world. He was truly a number one guy. RIP my friend. God bless.

Recently, Gerry was our neighbor and what a wonderful, friendly man he truly was! He gifted my kids a big tote of hockey cards and they were busy for hours sorting and organizing them all. We will miss the odd chat in the driveway and seeing his smiling face in the neighborhood. Heaven sure has gained one heck of angel ~ RIP Gerry

Gerry was a neighbour for years, a good neighbour. After moving away we always bumped into him at Costco, we never minded that we plugged the isles, my wife and I always enjoyed seeing him. We last saw him of course again at Costco, he let us know of his illness, we will forever remember his kind nature and huge smile. our condolences to his family and children.

I worked with Gerry in Hansard Broadcasting Services at the BC Legislature. He was a great colleague, a lot of fun and a super skilled camera operator and editor. He loved his kids so much and was really proud of them, sharing their news with us. It seems that everyone knew Gerry and they always had a big smile for him. The world lost a good one when Gerry left us.
