Michael J. Gershman, 50, of Yardley, Pennsylvania passed away in his home surrounded by family on June 23, 2020, after battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig's disease. Michael is survived by his wife Angela (Kaas) Gershman; his daughters April and Danielle Gershman; his parents Harvey and Sheila (Benn) Gershman; his brother and his wife Eric and Andrea (Singer) Gershman; seven nieces and nephews; and many other family members.

Michael Gershman was born and raised in Philadelphia. He earned a degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1991. He and his wife, Angela, met at Penn State, married in 1995 and had twin daughters in 2003. Michael was a beloved employee at NAXION for 28 years, a length of time unheard of in today's job market. He was a big brother in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association. Michael was an easy going, fun-loving guy who liked nothing more than to spend time with family and friends. He enjoyed a good meal with friends and having a good laugh. He was a master storyteller and always had a good, usually funny story to entertain the masses. His quintessential story was one about him jumping off a train. He loved watching most sports, but football was his first love, specifically the Eagles. He was heavily involved with fantasy football for the last 25+ years, and loved a good March Madness tournament. He loved hiking, traveling around the world, seeing the national parks, and the odd road stop along the way. He loved the beach and spending time at the Jersey Shore and the Outer Banks. He also enjoyed playing games and watching game shows.

Because of the COVID-19 situation, funeral services will not be held at this time. A remembrance ceremony will be planned for a later date and notifications for that will go out at that time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any one of the following organizations:

To the Gershman Family,

Mike was my client, I have been working with National Analyst/Naxion since 2004. Mike was always a delight, professional, funny, honest to a fault and always fair. I am only a few years his senior and it makes me realize have fragile life really is. I will miss him. What a great guy, I am so very sorry.

Mike truly is the best of us. I will miss seeing his smiling face and will always be grateful for how welcoming and friendly he was to me when I joined Naxion. I enjoyed our time working together and our conversations on sports and places to eat.

To Angie and the girls, take comfort in the fact that Mike will always have a special place in our hearts with plenty of stories and memories to treasure.

Mike will be missed very much. Despite the distance and how little we've had a chance to see him, Angela, and the twins in recent years, we have always thought of them frequently. Mike would always send me an entry form into his March madness contest even though I would never enter, not being a college basketball fan. But that seemed to be Mike, always inclusive of others. Even though I never participated, was always appreciative being offered the opportunity. He was far too good a person to have been dealt the illness he had. So sad.

Mike and I met randomly at a party in Pennsylvania in the early 90s. We maintained a pen pal relationship until ALS limited his abilities. Despite the distance between us, we kept in touch (thank you, Facebook) and even visited each other a few times over the years. My thoughts and best wishes are with Angela and the beautiful (inside and out) Gershman girls at this difficult time.
