Edwards family. Growing up in Tazewell as a child I recall my parents talking about C.G.Ewards and what a true gentleman he was. He was most remembered by me as a State Trooper with a dog. In later years I was blessed to work with him in the Lions Club. He and Sonny spoke to our mems group at church and from that day forward I looked at him as being a true man of God. It was an honor to know him. May God give all of you comfort.

Pat, Mary and Sonny,
So sorry to hear of your Dad's death. I have many fond memories of your Mom and Dad growing up in Tazewell. They always made me feel welcome in their home. My love and prayers are with each of you during this difficult time. Your Dad was one of a kind. His kindness and integrity is what I remember most about your Dad. I know heaven has one more angel.

To the C.G. Edwards Family,
Pete and I send our deepest sympathy and condolences to all the Edwards Family. I had the pleasure of working with C.G. at the Tazewell County Sheriff's Department. He was a real gentleman and good friend. I'm sure that he will be missed by his many friends and family in Virginia and in Florida. God Bless all of you, and may you rest in the knowledge that he is no longer suffering and is at peace. Sending you prayers that God will hold you especially close during this most sad time.

I am so very sorry to hear that CG has made his transition from life on earth to life in heaven. I know that all of his family will miss him greatly. I was so glad to have seen him in May at the Edwards Cousin Reunion at the AJ Edwards Cemetery Shed. He had so many of his family, relatives and friends who loved him around him on that day. It was certainly "his day", and he must have known that his time was near. May he rest in peace and love to all of his family.
Love,
Sue Counts (a cousin)

I'm very sorry to read of the passing of C. G. Edwards. I had dealing with him in the 59/60's while he served with the Virginia State Police. I was a Justice of the Peace for 'Clearfork District of Tazwell County'. He was a honorable man, very dependable and polite. He will be missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

C.G. Edwards was one of the greatest men that I have ever known. I worked for him many years ago while he was the Chief Deputy and I was a young Deputy Sheriff in Tazewell County. I learned so much from him. As a matter of fact, these days I use some of the things that he taught me in the same position that he was appointed to years ago. I will never forget him and he will be missed.
I send my deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
