Guy
Your going to be on my mind as I work during the Fortin Broomball challange. I hope our family represents you in the way you want. You would never be upset but laugh about it if they don't. That is you Guy. I miss you more than you know

To the Fortin family; I was shocked to hear of Guy's sudden departure from us. All of you played such a huge roll in my life as we grew up together. Guy was always the happy and protective one, fixing anything that broke, making sure everyone was included and building incredible hay mazes. His loss is felt here in Dallas, Texas, but he will never be forgotten.

Guy was a very fun and unique brother, the one out of all of us ten kids who had a never ending joy and spirit within himself. Thank you so very much to EVERYONE who sent their love and messages to the family, we are truly blessed. It blew me away on how many repsonded to his guest book. THANK YOU for ALL your heartfelt words. We are all truly grateful and it is such a blessing to see that he was so loved! I know his children and grandchildren will agree. Please keep them in your prayers as it is going to be a difficult time for them for a while.

My deepest sympathy to the entire family. The Al Davis family has many fond memories of Guy. You are in our prayers at this difficult time.

Jody Leavens

February 19, 2010

My sincerest expressions of sympathy go out to all of the Fortin family. The Leavens family grew up on good 'ole Nelson Hill Road in Derby and we all have nothing but the fondest memories of Gee. He taught us how to play numerous interesting card games! One of them I remember was called "Pee The Bed!" Only Gee could come up with something like that! Whenever Gee was around, there was sure to be lots of laughter and activity. He certainly had great vigor for life and loved every minute of it!

I am so very sorry to learn of his passing. Rachel, I know that I have not seen you for a while since working at Comcast, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. And to all of the Fortins, know that there is comfort in the good memories Gee brought to so many, many lives. He will be missed immensely.

To the entire Fortin family our deepest sympathy to you all. Crockett recalled Jr. High flag-football. Gee and he never could be on the same team because they would have had an unfair advantage. Rest in peace Gee.

My sincere condolences are with you during this time. I have very fond memories of visiting you all on the farm in Brownington growing up. As I remember, your dad always had a smile on his face. I know how hard it is to lose a father, also suddenly. It has been 7 years since I lost mine. Just know, he will always remain in your hearts, thoughts and memories.

Family and friends of Guy, we are thinking of you all, and praying for your well-being in this time of great sadness. We lived beneath Guy for 2 years, and in that time we got to know him well. He was MUCH more than a landlord to us, he was also our friend. We remember one night when we came home, Guy came down and said, "Do you guys want some dinner?" and invited us up for a huge turkey dinner, and it wasn't even close to Thanksgiving. He was one of the most honest of people, and could always be counted on for help with anything. It was clear to us that he loved his family, and his life, which he lived to the fullest every single day. We are missing him greatly, but we also feel privileged at being able to have known and loved him. We are keeping you all in our prayers.

Jeremy & Family

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Death leaves a heartache, no one can heal, Love leaves us memories no one can steal.

Remember those words, they are so true, I know, it is going on three years since I lost my father, and I will not lie and tell you it gets easier, because it really does not, but holding on to those wonderful memories helps us all get through each day.

God be with all of you and remember to look to each other and the Lord for comfort.

Love, Tina Willis

To Guy's Family -
That smile is so much him. He always wore it when he spoke of you. And, he did so often at work. I remember so well as you, Sue, whenever we came to Eastside. We were so sorry to hear of Gee's passing. He stopped at the shop on Friday and visited with Russell before Russell left for the weekend just this past Friday. Gee sure knew how to enjoy life from having bbques at his house, his ice drags and his special love of horse shoes. We enjoyed watching his HS tournamnets at Willoughby and how he played so much better barefoot, or so he thought. He always had something nice to say and always spoke of his family, especially his grandchildren. We have such fond memories of Gee and he will forever live in our hears, his smile will be forever in our memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Fortin family. We love you Gee and we will miss you.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the news of Guy's sudden passing. Though I have not met family of his I have heard him speak of many of you often on the Horshoe pits! I played at the VFW in Lyndonville with Guy on league nights and at many many tournaments around the area.
He was the nicest man, who always had a smile and of course a tip or two for me to help improve my game! We have lost a terrific person , but I shall always think of him with a smile as his was one of the nicest most genuine smiles I've seen!
My heart goes out to all of you.
