I would like the whole family to know that I was introduced to Benders Tavern by your father and my father last year. What a wonderful thing to see these two childhood friends joke around like they were children again. My father always had a smile on his face whenever he spoke of Denny. Denny is a great part of who my father is today and I am very grateful that he was in his life and the rest of my family's life.

To The Reed Family and the Reed Funeral Home Family

I was deeply saddened to read of Denny's passing. I became acquainted with "Reed" when Cletus Reed sat in my Great Aunt's kitchen drinking coffee and eating raisin pie with my Great Uncle who was also a Funeral Director. Like his dad, Denny was caring, compassionate and a man you knew you could trust. I have lost several family members in the last 30+ years and Denny was always there for me with guidance and understanding. He was a very special man who sincerely cared and was loved and respected by all who knew him. I will miss him personally as the community will. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you. May the gift of memories, family and friends be a source of comfort in the difficult days ahead and trust that God in His Mercy will give you strength and fill your hearts with His Peace.

I didn't know Denny well. We were in a class together at Malone. I went to mortuary school in Pittsburgh and then worked for another funeral home in Canton. In 1968,I moved to Philadelphia and took up a career in insurance. Cletus Reed had a genuine foresight in the business that Denny carried on successfully. Just wanted to say so long and sorry you left us so soon

To the Entire Reed Family & his extended Family at the "Reed Furneral Home"
I had sat many many times with your Husband/Dad while he helped my Family prepare for things we were not ready for.
He was a man of much concern for your loss, and he always had the right words when helping you prepare that obit, those words would just roll out of his mouth, he had the laughter with a shake of his head, but most of all he was just plain honest Mr Reed ! I will truely miss him ,as many many others will too.
My heart goes out to each & every one of you.
God Bless You.
