Josephine DePalma Obituary

DEPALMA, JOSEPHINE FRANCES Peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2011, in Madison, Josephine Frances DePalma, long time resident of Hamden. Josephine was born in Hamden on March 19, 1913, daughter of the late Stephen Miczynski and Mary Wontroba Miczynski. She was the beloved mother of Barbara Brown of Guilford and her late husband Robert S. Brown and James DePalma and his wife Letitia of Dallas, TX. Also survived by two grandsons, Peter Brown of Inverness, FL and Jayson Brown of Guilford, three great grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica and Kristen all of FL and four great great grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Kaylyn and Madison. Predeceased by two brothers, George and Frank Miczynski and four sisters, Anna Kissell, Amelia Hutchinson, Helen Miczynski and Marie Graylen. The DePalma family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Madison House, nurses and staff. They are truly angels, which helped to provide care and comfort to our mother. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 10am. Burial will follow Mass in Beaverdale Memorial Park Cemetery, 90 Pine Rock Ave., New Haven.
