Scott Jarrard Obituary
Jarrard, born October 26, 1946, passed peacefully in his sleep on March 12, 2013. Scott was a native Houstonian; he graduated from the University of Texas and South Texas College of Law.
Being a father and grandfather was what mattered most to Scott. He taught his sons how to hunt and fish at a young age, which was a passion that they shared and will cherish forever. Scott is survived by son, Jeffrey Roeder Jarrard and his wife Ryann and their two children, Connor and Annie as well as son Brian Mackenzie Jarrard.
A celebration of his life will take place Monday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 11140 Greenbay St., Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Coastal Conservation Association, 6919 Portwest St., Ste. 100, Houston, TX 77024 or a charity of your choice.

My thoughts and prayers are with Scott's family at this very sad time. I only learned of Scott's death yesterday, and too late to attend his service. I wish I could have been there. We went to high school and college together and he was a terrific guy with many admirable qualities. I know he loved his sons and grandsons better than life!

I'm sorry I never met Scott because I had heard wonderful stories about him from Nora. My thoughts and prayers are with you Brian, your family and Nora. I know he will always be missed, but I hope that in time you will feel the comfort and happiness in knowing that you had him in your life.

Ole Scotty!!! You will be forever missed. I'm sad I will never get a chance to have coffee in the mornings with you or go out to dinner with you. You were always so fun and such a character! Have fun fishing in Heaven!
