It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myra Lorrie Alicia Newman. She will be remembered as a beloved sister and Aunt who was an avid hockey fan. Myra was born on April 25, 1958 in Squamish, BC and died peacefully on August 10, 2016 in Lions Gate Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Myra descends from the Newman/ Moody/Williams and Baker families and is survived by her siblings, Joyce Bernadette Thomas, Suzanne Jean Winterstein, Garry Paul Moody, Georgina Rose Roretz, Elaine 'Elana' Moody, George Joseph Moody Jr, Stella Newman-Ogilvie, Lorraine Sandra Moody, Richard Charles Newman and many loving relatives and dear friends. A Catholic Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Totem Hall, 1380 Stawamus Rd, Squamish, BC and a Catholic Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Totem Hall, 1380 Stawamus Rd, Squamish, BC.
