CARREIRO, Agueda C. Agueda (Catarino) Carreiro, 80, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Daniel F. Carreiro, died Tuesday (June 13, 2006) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford. She was born in Aljubarrota, Portugal, June 21, 1925 and has resided in the greater Hartford area for the past 46 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Agueda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Antonio "Tony" and Regina Carreiro of East Hartford; a granddaughter, Jessica Carreiro; two sisters, Alexandrina Paulo and Clementina Correia, both of Newington and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Cristina Santos and Francelina Marques. Tony Carreiro would like to express his appreciation and gratitude for the attention and most wonderful care given to his mother by Dr. Beth Nelson and her staff. Calling hours will be TODAY from 5-8 p.m. at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. The funeral procession will be Friday at 9 a.m. from the Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Donations in memory of Agueda may be made to St. Francis Hospital/ Mt. Sinai Regional Cancer Center, 114 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105.
