John (Arthur), 78, of Moonachie, formerly of Hoboken, on October 5, 2016. Devoted husband to the late Marjorie (2015). Cherished father to John (Linda), Joseph (Rosa), Theresa (Charles) Poggi, David (Sharon), Daniel (Karen),and Patricia. Loving grandfather to David Jr. (Sharon), Jennifer (Frank) Stampone, Lisa, Kevin (Kelly) Thomas, Charles Poggi, Mark, Melissa, Kaitlyn Poggi, Bryan, and Amanda. and great-grandfather to Mia and James. Caring brother to Thomas, Herbert, and Albert. For many years John worked as a lab technician for Penn Inc. retiring in 2012. A parishioner of St. Margaret's of Cortona R.C. Ch. John was truly dedicate to serving his community, being a member of the Moonachie Fire Department achieving the rank of Chief from 1985-1986, He was also a Moonachie Marshall from 1971-1983. Funeral service Mon 10:30 AM at Kohler Funeral Home 280 Hackensack St. Wood-Ridge. Cremation Cedar Lawn crematory. Vis Sun 4-8 PM. Donations to the Moonachie Fire Dept. 115 Moonachie Rd. Moonachie NJ 07074 would be appreciated.
