Argene Scolastica Maria Giannetti nee Piazzaroli also known as "Mamma, Nonna, Bella, Gina and Jenny", age 102 of Oak Park; beloved wife of the late Gino; loving mother of Frank and Sadie who was like a daughter and Don " Dano" Giannetti; cherished Nonna of Michele Wirt, Madeline (Rick) Hornak and Stephen Giannetti; doting Great-Nonna of Ashley (Weston) Smith, Gregory and Maddie Wirt, and Stephen Giannetti II, and John and Cate Hornak; great-great-Nonna of Camden Smith; dear sister of Ada Turri of Italy and the late Maria (the late Idilio) Ferrando and Nella Piazzaroli; fond aunt and grand aunt of many nieces and nephews and dear friend of all. She is also survived by her loving caregiver Catalina Cruz. Visitation Monday June 19 from 3 to 9 p.m. (wake service 7 p.m.) at St. Edmund Church, 188 S. Oak Park Ave., Oak Park. On Tuesday prior to the 11 a.m. funeral mass there will be visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Following the mass the interment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. The family requests no flowers. Donations to the St. Edmund Church Building Fund would be appreciated. What a rich long life. Our condolences. We bought your family apartment building on Wisconsin Ave. oh, so many years ago, but remember how you and your mom invited our young kids over to see your Christmas decorations every year.
