Judy M. Brubaker

Judy M. Brubaker age 62 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away early Tuesday morning June 20, 2017 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born May 27, 1955 in Sturgis, Michigan daughter of John and Doris (Hostetler) Brubaker. Judy resided in Sturgis for the past five years. Most of her working life she was employed in sales and management. Judy enjoyed creative writing and sewing and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed most all sports and was a loyal fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines, the Detroit Tigers, and the New England Patriots. Judy loved her dog Jimmy and time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandsons. She is survived by two daughters: Michele (Chris Eash) Reynolds of Sturgis and Alana Holbrook of Miami, Oklahoma; two sons: Benjamin (Lisa) McKenzie of Lake Orion and Ryan McKenzie of Frankenmuth; nine grandchildren: Josh, Luke, Anna and David all of Sturgis, Zachary, Theodore, Owen and Callum all of Lake Orion and Kadence of Frankenmuth; two great grandsons: Jaxson and Harrison; her brothers: John Brubaker, James (Diane) Brubaker both of Sturgis; her sisters: Janet Brubaker of Sturgis, Jill (Arnim) Hescott of Three Rivers, Joyce Hensley of Vicksburg, Kris (Rob) Conrad of White Pigeon and Carol (Ken) Baumeister of Burr Oak and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and honor the life of Judy Marie Brubaker will be held from 1:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday at the LaGrange American Post #215, 100 Industrial Pkwy, LaGrange, IN 46761. Private burial of the ashes will take place at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak at a later date.
