Mel was one of the kindest men we have ever known. A gentleman and down to earth person. We are so sorry to learn of his passing.

Mel Snyder was my cousin. His dad and my dad were brothers. The last time I saw Mel was when we lived in Upper Darby, PA in the late eighties and early nineties. My boys were both young. I remember Mel as owning a plane. He was the only one in my family with a pilot's license. He was real easy going and a good guy. I hadn't seen his kids since they were young. Mel also owned a boat, though maybe it was his dad's.

My sympathy to his family. Mel was an excellent friend for many years. He was a very compassionate and righteous man always ready to help anyone in need. I will dearly miss him<

Mel was a very generous, wise, and hard-working man. He was an inspiration to his friends. It seems impossible that he has left us.
