Modesto, California - Nathaniel Battig (43) passed away in a car accident traveling to Lake Tahoe on February 19th, 2022.
Nathaniel was born to Magdalena and Tony Battig on July 7, 1978 in Modesto, California. He attended Shiloh School Elementary and graduated from Modesto High School in 1996. After transferring from Modesto Junior College, he graduated from Chico State University with a Bachelor's in Agriculture in 2002.
Growing up helping on the family farm, it was only natural that he would take over the family business. After working for over a decade with Nutrien Ag solutions, he joined the M3 West Incorporated team as the in-house Pest Control Advisor. Nathaniel was an expert skier, an avid cyclist, and loved spending time with his friends and family. He was an active member of the Old Fisherman's Club and was committed to his weekly Tuesday night Ride-Like-Roy Rides.
Nathaniel is survived by his parents; his siblings Jonathan Battig and wife Maegan (Arbuckle), Raphael Battig and wife Yolanda (Denair), Alessandra Battig-Taylor and husband Brent (Modesto); his nieces and nephews Kyler, Adelynn, Aaleyah, Landyn, Ivyn; and his loving girlfriend, Katie Cosner.
Friends are invited to join Nathaniel's family to honor his memory on Sunday, March 6th. At 8:00am, the family will host a tribute 20-mile mountain bike ride at East La Loma Park. From 1:00-5:00pm, a memorial service will be held at the San Joaquin Valley Swiss Club.
