James Overstreet Obituary
James was a dedicated employee of Stauffer Glove & Safety for over 20 years. He had a love for Walt Disney World which was his favorite place to visit, found peace in caring for stray cats especially his fur baby Gigi, and enjoyed watching football especially when it came to the Tarboro Vikings and NC State Wolfpack. James cherished the simple moments in life like when he'd travel to the beach with his family. A loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many, James will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
James is survived by his wife of 34 years, Tonya Overstreet; his son, Brady Overstreet of Davenport, FL; his daughter, Elizabeth Overstreet of Elm City; his brother, Patrick Lawson Overstreet, III of Tarboro; his sister, Judy Bottoms and husband, Alvin, of Tarboro; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of James' Life will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
