Scott A. Robinson

1943 - 2022

Scott Robinson, 79, died on October 4th surrounded by his son and daughter-in-law in Asheville, NC. He was born to Carl Delmont and Dorothy Robinson of Brunswick, ME in July 1943. He was a protective big brother to his sisters Ashi and Mary in their growing up years on a small family farm. He married Kathleen Dailey in May 1969.

In the mid-1960s, he started his 50+ year career in commercial restaurant equipment at the Sheraton Hotels corporate office in Boston. Moving to Manchester, NH in 1970, he began to work at Interstate Restaurant Equipment, Inc. located on Amoskeag Circle. He worked his way up to become the President of Interstate, which was acquired by Perkins Paper in 2005.

He designed and planned countless commercial kitchens in New England, notably T-Bones and Cooper Door Restaurants, CR Sparks, the Hanover St. Chop House and the Crown Tavern, among numerous grade schools, high schools, colleges and nursing home kitchens. He was well known and respected in the commercial kitchen equipment industry and continued working on projects until his passing.

He was a long time resident of Goffstown, NH where he served the community through the Lions Club, the Congregational Church, and the Goffstown School Board. With the help of Kathy, he initiated the now annual Goffstown Lions Club Craft Fair, which has generated substantial financial resources for the Lions Club to serve its community for 40+ years.

He is predeceased by his parents and his wife, Kathy Robinson and their son, Scott "Scottie" Robinson, Jr. He is survived by his son Michael Robinson, his wife, Kim and grandsons, Quinn and Myles and his sisters Ashi and her husband Vince Tango of Huntington Beach, CA and Mary Maloney and her husband Tom from Durham, ME.

Funeral services will be held at Westlawn Cemetery in Goffstown on Saturday, November 5th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NHSPCA).
