John SPEHAR Obituary
October 23, 1931 - October 22, 2022
John Phillip Spehar, 90, passed away peacefully in hospice care at Ascension Healthcare facility in Signal Mountain, Tennessee October 22, 2022.
He is survived by daughter Vicki (Lynn) Watson, son John S. (Mary Jane) Spehar, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and sisters-in-law Anne Loncarich and Mary Barkovich as well as five nieces and one nephew. He was predeceased by wife Katherine K. Spehar, and his parents Barbara and Stanley Spehar.
John was born in Sarnia, Ontario, and was raised in Hamilton where he actively participated in the Croatian Community and continued his education graduating from McMaster University in 1953. He was a chemist with Polysar Chemical Corporation in Sarnia and traveled extensively with the company. After moving to Chattanooga, Tennessee in the early 1970's, John started a business, Insulation Unlimited, Inc.
At John's request, there will be no visitation and a private family service will be held at a later date for the interment of ashes.
The family wishes to thank the compassionate and professional staff of Ascension Living Memory Care, Alexian Live at Home and Hearth Hospice for their care and support.
