Janice Edmonds Obituary
Born in Springfield, MA, Janice was the daughter of the late Harold and Celia (Muir) Wright. She was raised and educated in Pembroke and resided there for most of her life.
Prior to her retirement, Janice was employed by the State of New Hampshire for over 30 years. She served as the Secretary to Assistant Majority Leader, Marshall French. She retired as the Executive Secretary/Assistant to the Speaker, Harold Burns, of the NH House of Representatives.
Janice was a longtime member of the Plausawa Country Club and the Red Hatters Group. She also volunteered as Trustee of the Trust Fund for the Town of Pembroke for many years before her stroke in 2009. She enjoyed painting, traveling and cooking. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She will be lovingly remembered for her all-around positive and happy attitude, adventurous spirit and of course her immeasurable hugs. She was the family's Sunshine on a cloudy day. Her love was unconditional.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Curtis R. Edmonds, her daughter, Robin Miller and her sisters, Marilyn Pierce and Esther Ray.
Janice is survived by her two children, Robert Edmonds and his wife Anne of Chichester and Julie Saseen and her husband Michael of Pembroke. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Harris Hill Center for the love and care they provided to their dear mother.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 180 Loudon Rd. in Concord. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janice's memory may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
