Jesse White Obituary

Jesse E. White, Jr., 93, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Fair View Nursing Home.
He was born August 28, 1929, in Warrensburg, son of the late Jesse Ernest White, Sr. and Isabel (Collier) White. On September 19, 1953, in Englewood, CA, he married Nancy A. Greco, who preceded him in death on August 13, 2015.
He spent his early years living in Camden County. When Bagnell Dam was completed and Lake of the Ozarks flooded the family property, the family relocated to Sedalia.
Jesse was a rural letter carrier for the US Postal Service, retiring after 32 years of service.
In his younger years, he enjoyed rebuilding cars. He also enjoyed going to auctions, garage sales and listening to audiobooks. Jesse loved animals, especially cats. He adopted his most recent feline companion, Sophie, from the Sedalia Animal Shelter.
Survivors include his son, Dean White (fiancé Agnes Countryman), of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Krista Nicole Johnson (Jason), Adam Huffman (Felicia), Angel Marie Webner (Jason), Matt White (Jessica) and Jacob White (Gabby); three step-grandchildren, Rodney Raines (fiancé Kaitlyn), Alysha Raines and Kylee Raines; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela White-Neeley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Sacred Heart Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father César Anicama officiating.
Casket bearers will be Robert Walker, Adam Huffman, Jason Webner, Jason Johnson, Larry Scott and Jason Hendrick. Honorary casket bearers will be Nancy Evans and Jerusha White.
Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery mausoleum.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, at Heckart Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

Dean and family sorry for your loss... Jesse was always a great friend to my folks and other members of our family. We always enjoyed his stories before and after running the mail route.
