Joyce LaRue McWilliams

1926 - 2015

Joyce LaRue McWilliams, age 89, of Britton passed peacefully away Dec. 3, 2015.

She was born May 5, 1926, in Glen Cove, Texas, the daughter of Morris E. and Lillian (Stinson) Bost. On Feb. 10, 1945, she married Robert W. McWilliams at the Naval Base Chapel in Jacksonville, Fla., and he preceded her in death in Dec. 7, 2001.

She was a resident of Britton for many years.

LaRue was an Avon representative in the Britton area for 33 years. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Britton.

LaRue is survived by her children, Lynda Anderson of Chantilly, Va.; Sue Ann (John) Carrizales of Saline, Sheri (Jody)
Weisbaum of Sterling, Va.; and Richard (Susan) McWilliams of Dexter; eight loving grandchildren, Brian and Matthew Anderson, Ryan and Alison Carrizales, Kyle Weisbaum and Andrew, Thomas and Katy McWilliams; in-laws, Ben (Patricia) McWilliams and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband of 56 years, Robert, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Edna Moore and Venita Bonham; and a brother, Joe Bost.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with the Rev. Mark
Zender officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery, Brittton.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at the funeral home. Remembrances may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, Britton or Hospice of Lenawee. Condolences to the family may be made online at www.pursefuneralhome.com.
